Common Questions
Everything you need to know about Star Bound.
Answers to frequent questions about privacy, camera scanning, star matching, and orders.
How does Star Bound detect constellations?
Our on-device vision neural network detects skin contrast points (freckles, moles, beauty marks) and computes angular distances matching real celestial geometry.
Are my photos sent to your servers?
Never. All image processing and coordinate extraction happens 100% on your device. Only anonymized coordinate metadata is stored if you choose to sync your account.
How accurate is the star matching?
We cross-reference coordinates against the International Astronomical Union (IAU) star catalog containing over 100,000 celestial objects.
Can I order jewelry with my constellation?
Yes, you can export any captured constellation directly to our zero-inventory custom jewelry workshop.
